At night: stop signalling your brain
that it’s noon

If we were in nature, our melatonin levels would rise naturally after sunset and begin repairing our cells, killing cancer, etc.

Today’s modern LED lighting is unhealthy for us at night (our bulbs and screens.) The good news is you don’t have to change much to notice health benefits within weeks.

Use amber colored bulbs in evening

Wear blue blockers (orange or red lenses)

LED Bulbs

In a few years, it’ll be common knowledge to use low-blue / circadian bulbs at night for greater health. Today, this isn’t yet widely known.

We purchased every bulb at Home Depot.
There’s not a single “healthy” bulb sold there.

(every bulb sold there [as of Nov 2023] suppresses melatonin, some much more than others)

This is the closest thing to a “healthy” bulb you can find at Home Depot
(very low blue content)
This is MUCH better than any ultra bright LED.

This is the worst bulb there. Unfortunately, it’s the type of bulb most people use at all hours. These are fine during the day, but greatly suppress melatonin at night.
Notice this bulb is over 2.2x the lux, compared to Vintage Warm 250 lumen bulb, this contains a huge spike in “circadian blue” energy proven to suppress melatonin.
